Planet Guide and Information

In our solar system there are eight major planets, all of which are fascinating in their own right.
This is a guide to each one with interesting stats, a description of each and corresponding data from Frontier First Encounters.

In August 2006, the status of Pluto was officially changed to that of a dwarf planet, a classification it currently shares with four other solar system bodies, with many more candidates awaiting decisions by the IAU (International Astronomical Union).
The two minor planets (Pluto & Ceres) included in Frontier are described below.
