Commodore Plus/4 Elite Information

The Commodore Plus/4 home computer was released in 1984, but was withdrawn a year later after poor sales. An official version of Elite was never made for this machine, but compatible versions became available in 1988 and 1994.
More recently, Mark Moxon has made a flicker-free version available from his website (see below).

Given the similarity between the Commodore machines, it is unsurprising that Plus/4 Elite bears a close resemblence to the version for the Commodore 64. Nevertheless, work had to be carried out to ensure that the program ran correctly on the Plus/4, as C64 programs were generally incompatible with it. The result is an excellent version of the game, on a par with the original C64 program.
