M63 - The Sunflower Galaxy

M63 commonly known as the Sunflower Galaxy, is a barred spiral galaxy and can be found in the constellation of Canes Venatici. It is quite faint, at magnitude 8.50, and to see the spiral arms you will need a medium to large sized telescope and dark skies. M63 forms part of a group of galaxies all of which are around 37 million ly away.
